Volunteer in Calgary
Do you have a creative skill, artistic technique, or unique perspective you'd love to share? Volunteers in our Art Program play a meaningful role in enriching the artistic experiences of the individuals we support.
Our volunteer opportunities are focused on teaching, mentoring, and inspiring. Whether you're an experienced artist, a hobbyist with a passion to share, or a creative professional looking to give back, we'd love to hear from you.
Because our studio is supported by a full-time Art Assistant, volunteers can focus on sharing their knowledge and engaging directly with participants.
We're especially interested in volunteers who can introduce new creative experiences, including photography, visual arts, fibre arts, mixed media, and other artistic disciplines.

Do you have a background in fitness, kinesiology, personal training, recreation, or wellness? Put your skills to work in a rewarding volunteer role that helps individuals build confidence, improve their health, and achieve their personal fitness goals.
As a Fitness Volunteer, you'll support engaging fitness programs that make exercise fun, accessible, and motivating. From facilitating gym games to encouraging participants through their workouts, you'll help create a positive environment where everyone can experience success.
Working alongside our team, you'll assist individuals in following their personalized fitness plans, which are developed through a Personal Fitness Profile created by a Kinesiology student. Your guidance and encouragement can help participants stay active, develop healthy habits, and celebrate their progress every step of the way.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has knowledge of fitness and exercise, and is passionate about helping others lead healthier, more active lives.

Are you passionate about music and eager to share your talents with others? We're looking for a Music Volunteer with experience in vocal performance, choral music, music therapy, or vocal coaching to help bring an exciting vision to life: the Chrysalis Choir.
This unique volunteer opportunity offers the chance to inspire individuals through the power of music, helping participants discover their voices, build confidence, and experience the joy of singing together. Whether you have a background in choir direction, vocal instruction, music education, or therapeutic music practices, your expertise can make a lasting impact.

We are seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to help sort and organize learning materials in our Resource Library. This one-time, project-based opportunity involves reviewing resources, organizing materials into categories, and helping improve accessibility for participants and staff.

Help connect participants with opportunities in the Calgary community!
Chrysalis is looking for a volunteer to assist with creating and updating our Community Board. Working alongside participants, you will help research local events, activities, and community opportunities available in Calgary, then update and decorate the board with current information and materials.
This volunteer role takes place once a month, during the last week of each month, and helps keep participants informed, engaged, and connected to their community.

Volunteer in Edmonton
Art transcends disability, age, and ability, offering endless possibilities. At Chrysalis, our Art Program is a vital part of the work we do. Our award-winning program provides opportunities for participants to explore their creativity and individuality while developing a variety of artistic skills. Through partnerships with local artists across multiple mediums, we ensure participants receive a strong foundation in arts-based programming.
Volunteers in our Art Program play an integral role in supporting the delivery of this programming. Assisting our Art Specialist, volunteers help with setup, cleanup, and the general organization of the art room.
