Our Community, Our Stories

Self-advocacy
Meet Kevin
Kevin has come a long way since joining us in 2018. He has accomplished so much and is a huge ambassador for Chrysalis and an advocate for himself and others. When Kevin went through our new human-centered intake, he wanted to participate in all the planning meetings and idea brainstorming. He was one of the first people to show such enthusiasm for this process and was a huge advocate for the programs.
Kevin now has the tools to explore relationships through shared activities and when difficulties arise, he has a plan for getting the support he needs. A founding member of the Self-Advocacy Group at Chrysalis, Kevin was awarded the Champion Award at the 2021 Chrysalis Annual Achievement Awards Ceremony.
