If you have been keeping tabs on the first online art auction that launched on November 4th than you know that one of the artists featured in this inaugural imitative is one of the most sought after artists in our Edmonton program, Arron. We wanted to introduce you to the man behind The Bridge!
A native of Calgary, Arron moved to Edmonton with his family in 1992. Arron is a graduate of Ross Sheppard High School in Edmonton and upon completing his schooling, Arron has been accessing Chrysalis programming since late 2006.
Arron was one of the first people involved in the art program when it was introduced in Edmonton in 2008. From humble beginnings, Arron, along with other artists, quickly proved how integral a creative arts program was to enable service individuals another way to express themselves and help with their personal development. Arron was such a key cog in the development of the program itself, and displayed a real passion for the creative process, that he was awarded with the first Artist of the Year Award in 2009.
As time went on Arron continued to grow as an artist, honing his craft and developing a major following along the way. Because of his talents and eclectic range of artistic composition, Arron’s artwork is a hot commodity. His finished pieces are purchased quickly and he is always being approached with commission jobs by people who want to display his work. Arron continues to be one of the constant faces frequenting the art studio and he continues creating paintings and artwork that leave people speechless.
There is no doubt that Arron will have some of his work on display and up for sale during the 2014 Art Show and Sale in April but if past events are any indication, it will sell quickly!
Aside from his artwork, Arron is all about leaving his mark in the community. He has been an active volunteer in the Edmonton for many years. Volunteering is one of his passions in life and will always remain in his heart. Arron volunteers on a weekly basis at St. Michael’s Extended Care Centre and he really enjoys the time he spends there.
Arron is looking forward to developing his culinary skills and one of his goals is to join a community kitchen program to assist in his development.
