Summer is quickly coming to an end and as we get ready for the leaves to start changing colours on the the trees, here at Chrysalis we are busy preparing for the 1st Annual Gala Breakfast to be held in Calgary! In late 2011, we introduced the Spirit of Chrysalis, which has been running in Edmonton for over 6 years now, into our Calgary facility by organizing free, one hour information sessions people attend to learn more about us. After a year and half of a successful string of monthly sessions, we are now looking forward to the next step within the Spirit of Chrysalis model, our signature Gala Fundraising Breakfast!
The Petroleum Club (319 – 5 Ave SW) in Calgary will play host to this year’s event which will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 7:30-8:30 am. The program will include stories and speeches from Chrysalis board members, staffers, volunteers and of course, the individuals whom we serve. The program will portray how important the programs and services we offer are to the individuals accessing them and how together we help craft a better quality of life for everyone relaying on the support Chrysalis provides. We are also excited to unveil our first Calgary specific video which will feature some amazing stories and great partnerships that have allowed Chrysalis to make a real impact in the lives of the individuals whom we serve and the community as a whole!
The event is absolutely free to attend and all guests will be treated to a complimentary continental breakfast. Now, this is a fundraiser and everyone in attendance will be asked to consider supporting the organization however they see fit though nobody should feel obligated to donate should they choose not to. The Gala Breakfast also acts as a wonderful introduction to the type of organization we are so if you are wanting to learn more about us, feel free to join us!
We would love to have you join us for our 1st Annual Spirit of Chrysalis Gala Breakfast and be a part of something we feel will become as big a success in Calgary as we have witnessed in Edmonton over the past several years!
