While there may be a lot of uncertainty at the moment with regards to the new budgets being implemented by the Provincial government, and many are voicing their concerns as to how potential funding cuts could severely change the lives of the individuals with disabilities who are accessing community supports like Chrysalis, there is definitely something positive to look forward to in the coming weeks.
The 5th Annual Spirit of Chrysalis Gala Fundraising Breakfast is just around the corner and we would love to have you join us for a morning of inspiration, hope and good will.
The Sutton Place Hotel (10235 – 101 Street) will play host to this year’s event which will be held on June 6, 2013 from 7:30-8:30 am. The program will include stories and speeches from Chrysalis board members, staffers, volunteers and of course, the individuals whom we serve. The program will portray how important the programs and services we offer are to the individuals accessing them and how together we help craft a better quality of life for everyone relaying on the support Chrysalis provides.
The event is absolutely free to attend and all guests will be treated to a complimentary continental breakfast. I did say this was a fundraiser and everyone in attendance will be asked to consider supporting the organization however they see fit though nobody should feel obligated to donate should they choose not to. The Gala Breakfast also acts as a wonderful introduction to the type of organization we are so if you are wanting to learn more about us, feel free to join us!
We are so pleased to have sponsors like Canadian Western Bank, Fortis Alberta and MediaCo on board to help present this event and with the generosity of donors like Performance Graphics, Nordic and Scotiabank, among others, we are currently approaching $90,000 in funds contributed to the event already which is an amazing head start!
